The Pelican Lake Association is funded by its members. Your dues help pay for harvesting crews, boat landing inspectors, hazard buoys, fish habitat projects, and the studies that make grant applications possible—all work that benefits everyone who uses Pelican Lake, whether they’re a member or not.
Membership is open to anyone who spends at least 30 days a year in the Town of Schoepke or Enterprise. You don’t need to live there year-round or have your legal address there. Owning property, or running a business or nonprofit, in either town also qualifies. Members from outside those towns who already belonged when the bylaws were restated in 2022 can keep their membership by renewing on time every year.
Not sure if you qualify? Ask us before you send a check.
Dues
Annual dues are $25 per membership for the current membership year, which ends at the Annual Meeting in June 2027. Dues for the 2027–28 membership year are $30. Each membership year runs from one Annual Meeting to the next.
One paid membership carries one vote at the Annual Membership Meeting, where members approve the budget and elect directors. Dues must be paid on or before the meeting for your vote to count.

What Your Dues Pay For
Dues are the association’s most dependable source of income. Grants have to be won, and fundraising varies from year to year—but dues give the association the ability to commit to a harvesting season, order buoys, and plan projects before grant or fundraising dollars arrive.
Your dues help fund:
- Mechanical and diver-assisted harvesting of Eurasian watermilfoil
- Trained boat landing inspectors and the camera systems that support them
- Hazard buoys, including placement, maintenance, replacement, and removal
- Fish surveys, stocking, and habitat projects with the DNR and Mole Lake Tribe
- Shoreline restoration and roadside clean-up
- Lake studies and management planning that support grant applications
Volunteers do most of the association’s work and the annual budget approved by the membership shows exactly where your dues are spent.
How to Join or Renew
Print the membership form, fill it in, and mail it with your check to Pelican Lake Association, PO Box 96, Pelican Lake, WI 54463.
The membership form also asks which committees interest you. Please take a moment to answer—it genuinely helps. This is how the association finds the people who eventually step up to lead committees and keep projects moving.
Renewing members receive a membership reminder each spring. Not sure whether your membership is current? Contact us and choose “Membership and dues.”
There’s More Than One Way to Help
Give Beyond Dues
Direct your gift to the work you care about most—invasive species control, the buoy fund, fishery projects—or make a gift in memory of someone who loved Pelican Lake.

Volunteer
Nearly everything the association does is powered by members giving a morning here and an afternoon there. Tell us what interests you, and we’ll connect you with a way to help.

Support as a Business
Local businesses help keep the association going by sponsoring the newsletter, donating raffle prizes, and hosting association events. If you run a business around the lake and would like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. The Pelican Lake Association does not see or store your card details.
